SPARKing Art: Erasmus+ Training in Brasov, Romania

Events/News on 17 Jun , 2022

The location was stupendous, and the views were breathtaking. The participants had the opportunity to try out art therapy exercises hands-on. These activities included poem writing, mandala drawing, painting and using clay amongst others. Our Youth Support worker Kim enjoyed face painting the most because she could interpret the way she saw the person she was face painting on and expressing what she thought of them through this medium. The participants learned how using art can help young people who have suffered trauma and struggle to put their emotions into words. Through art, young people can express themselves creatively and freely, without having to communicate it verbally. This experience will surely inspire Kim to work with CVB residents in a unique and creative way.

This experience was thanks to the Karl Vella Foundation and Prisms Malta.
