Every year, one resident is given the opportunity to join a group of volunteers in assisting sick people in Lourdes. The experience has always been a very meaningful one to the girls who joined, some of who were invited to attend even a second time.
This year the resident who joined was a 16 year old girl who has been in the Home for the last two years. The experience was a truly positive one, which got her in touch with her spiritual side, as well as helped her to work on interpersonal skills when relating with different people. The trip to Lourdes really brought out the best in her – her caring nature and pleasant personality were commented on by the rest of the group.
