A number of residents had the great opportunity of spending a day in Sicily thanks to a kind donation by Mr. Frank Salt.
The girls were given some money to spend at the famous market in Catania, an experience which helped them practice their budgeting skills. Some time was also spent on Mount Etna – this was a truly incredible experience as it had unexpectedly snowed and the girls had a great time sliding down the slopes and relishing the moment.
The day trip was concluded at a shopping centre, where the girls could relax and spend the money they had left over.
The busy schedule resulted in everyone feeling extremely tired, but content at the airport.
It was a happy day for all of the girls – for many it was the first experience taking a flight and for all it was the first time in the snow.
Many happy memories are still being recounted!
