Carmen Brincat, Head of Care at Conservatorio Vincenzo Bugeja shed some light on the work done at the Homes, the different experiences faced by the residents in care as well as the dream for their future. The article was featured on the December 20th 2015 Lehen is-Sewwa.
Ms. Brincat relates the difficulties the residents face in accepting their situation as well as the need for a normalised way of life.
Reference is made to the latest service being offered – a semi-residential flat in which three young women who were previously residents at the Home are now residing with the aim of gaining the skills for an independent way of life.
